TREVISO Our Voice: The Story of a mosque errant

Friday, November 14 at the Citadel Young Democrats have organized the presentation of the book "Apartheid" Toni Fontana, with the author, Mara Mabie (university professor of Padova) and Khalid, a young Moroccan orgine that is part of the "Second Generation".
Among the audience (eighty people) there were six children of 'Backlight Association, a cultural and social development that operates in Maserada on the Piave in the province of Treviso. These guys that are proposed, among other things, "to address and investigate the current issues that appear undervalued or passed over in silence", they put a video on the persecution that Gentilini, the first mayor and now deputy mayor of Treviso and other mayors Alloy made the Islamic community, denying any place of worship, culminating in prayer on the sidewalks. Thursday, December 11 at 21.00
shown for the first time the video they made (the poster is here) and we were invited to participate. It 'beautiful and important to see at Treviso, Lega monopoly, there are guys who do not surrender to the xenophobic and populist policies of the administration. Unfortunately, a certain mentality does not stop in the province of Treviso and as Young Democrats across the region have to fight against intolerance and to support the current initiatives of those associations that are still fighting for civil rights for all.
