Does Rubbing Coke On Your Gums Get You High

we won. NOW IT 'S TIME TO BUILD

We won. It 'been a hard battle "but in the end we won.
The elected members of the Democratic Generation are 25 to 45, which must be added three boys we are very close. He then 28 out of 45, and these numbers are a clear and unequivocal victory. More specifically, were up 9 out of 15 candidates for National Assembly and 19 out of 30 for the regional assembly. Our candidates are generally the most votes, both in absolute terms (we have four candidates voted Time), both in the various "categories": they belong to G-dem so the boy as the girl most voted to national, and so much more the boy as the girl who took more than one preference for the regional assembly. Full details will be posted in any case here on the blog shortly.
Overall, we got about 1100 votes out of about 1800 voters. We regret for kids who do not have managed to be elected, especially for those who missed election by a narrow margin.
The victory is clear, of a political victory even before the numerical result.
The victory is clear, of a political victory even before the numerical result. I want to thank everyone who worked on this project. Everyone has worked devoting much time to Build Democratic, with the idea that things could really be changed, that does not always win the same, that something new may move to a policy always equal to itself. Now we
but the duty to do something even harder than winning the primaries: reunify the youth of the Democratic Party.
The divisions in recent months have done much harm to the Party and its, emerging, youth organization. Now it's time to rebuild a unity of substance and not just formale.G-dem is on the other hand was born from the outset not to divide but to unite now up to us to indicate that the line, we can fulfill our historic mission. The commitment that I take from now is to involve everyone, even those that are not from our group, in the construction of the youth organization. With this in mind, I ask you to forget the divisions, to set aside the spirit of revenge.
Today it is time for unity, not division.
all counting on you to fulfill this important mission.

YOUNG DEMOCRATS: WHO WANT TO BE? (Back to politics ...)

On October 14 three and half million people have decided to take part in the primaries the Democratic Party, putting their trust and their hopes in this new political entity.

On 14 April, however, with the electoral victory of Berlusconi's coalition and center - right, has written a sad page in the history of Italian politics.

Today is time to react. The party must do and must do our young people.

For this you need to give birth soon to a youth movement of the Democratic Party, that that can involve large numbers of girls and boys who have shown interest to look to our draft, but who knows how to open a dialogue with that part of young people who have not won the last election. Feel the responsibility to meet the expectations and surprise the skeptics.

This requires that there is a break with the past.

Discontinuity means we are talking about real democracy within the party, transparency in the choices and behavior, always looking for ways that favor the request for participation, open to associations, individuals and groups in the neighborhoods of the cities or in small towns in the suburbs organize cultural and political activities. Words really do mean return to politics, not perched in the rooms of a home party, but in schools, universities, bars, in the square: the meeting places for young people. So here

a series of proposals for the creation of a youth who is subject to the task that has to perform.

ORGANIZATIONAL PRINCIPLES

- INDEPENDENCE - The youth of the PD project adheres to the belief that Veltroni is offering, but does so in complete independence from the choices of the party. This autonomy includes both the content, so the chance to work on issues of their youth, both from an organizational standpoint, that has to do with for example the possibility of relating with associations or groups that promote activities for kids political and cultural, in the manner it deems appropriate or even with will be structured internally in a different way to the party. Autonomy also means that the youth must have a fixed annual budget to finance political activity, not subject to blackmail of any kind by the party. We do not want a juvenile to be a simple amplifier of the party, we want it to be ... the power!

- METHOD - The method of work of this new subject of juvenile PD should be based on the following principles:
or collegiality and transparency in decisions.
or constant search for forms of participation and involvement

- PLACE OF TRAINING - The youth of PD as place of training. At a time when, as now happens, there is a lack of reference points, the new subject of juvenile PD should be responsible for providing the tools necessary for the formation of a critical conscience in young people. Renewed attention to content should therefore be able to characterize the lives of the youth of the PD as a place for debate, discussion and, therefore, training.

- TERRITORY - The Democratic Party and its youth movement must be able to stay on the ground, understand their bodies, and act accordingly. The youth must deal with those substantive issues that directly affect various areas of the province and the city of Padua, to be present in local clubs party, to elect their representatives in city councils, then bring in those locations with concrete proposals for solving problems involving children in drawing up these proposals. In short, politics, really.

SOME ISSUES

- QUESTION MORAL / LEGAL ': They must be among the priorities of our political action. The youth must be the bearer of a new ethic of responsibility and politics.

- SUBSTANCE: The youth Democratic Party must become the bearer of a great battle to promote meritocracy at all levels of our society, schools, universities, in the workplace and in institutions. The future of our country can not fall into the trap of networks of patronage hiring, but must be given to the best energies that the company is able to express.

- WORK: Young people today live with a dramatic condition of precariousness unsustainable approach the world of work. The task of the youth of the PD must be to formulate proposals to reconcile the flexibility required by the job tenure in a position to give certainty to the condition of the young worker.

- SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES ': School and university must be both places of culture and preparation the world of work. We need to return, along with school and university associations of trade unionism, to act in those contexts, fighting privileges, enhancing human and intellectual resources, demanding the full implementation of the right to education.

- PEACE, HUMAN RIGHTS AND ENVIRONMENT we do not want to be only dreaming of a universal peace, but we want to be its builders. The protection of human rights has become an imperative for a major reformist party. The youth must be the vanguard of the Democratic Party as regards environmental issues, managing to translate into concrete proposals for the principles of the new environmentalism of yes.

Pattycakes Masterbation

THE BLACK SHEEP PASTURE TO THE WEST ... AND NOTHING

A ray of sunlight penetrates the clouds over the Po valley, which stagnated during the autumn morning. There is no fog, not yet, but at least the rain fell, soaking everything. The train runs to the south, meets the beautiful weather, bouncing, wet, dirty ... Sometimes I wonder if a country can withstand relatively civil services like this. It seems that Italy maintains the trains right now because they exist and because all in all, we already are, you might as well use them ... the trains were only!
The Italians feel a particular sense of rejection for the Common Good in the sense that seems to exist only the good of the individual and / or category, from the series: Live and let die. Arise in this context fundamentally selfish and uncaring can not influence a person, especially if it absorbs some examples of negativity from an early age. To escape this situation or you receive a proper education in the family (now more than ever we hear the disarming lack thereof), or it was already "naturally" particularly enlightened and sensitive to those forms of civil society that should be specific to each for the good of all. Let us see it as a social investment that will generate its profits and the interests: that is, a truly civil society, tidy, clean (in all senses) friendly, liveable in full. But if only a few conform to the rules of civil coexistence, on the one hand, these poor, black sheep and ridiculed by all, they do a lot of effort is often useless and maybe even throw in the towel at the end, the other loses the whole of society, because the negative behavior and selfish are apparently initially and rewarding, ending to overflow and then to invade the sphere of others, hurting others, all the others. So the more selfish and individual freedoms we take, the less it produces true freedom, even against themselves.
But what are these behaviors so despicable? This is just to look around. Some are less obvious and therefore perhaps If you do not: it is to park your car in a double row without posing many problems of time or actual emergency, seek systematically to jump the queue (here, in particular, it seems that we Italians have a compelling sense of disorder any device is allowed, you must always be alert and ready to assert ourselves to cover any gaps that could wedge some hacker! Even when there are rows with numbered cards has never totally quiet), yet, this is the case of all those (many apparently from the state of roads, squares and places frequented in general) who do not know what a trash, of those who, evidently, have a copious salivation and do not really know any way to refrain from liberating in the most varied and spectacular
... This whole series of "small" things go to form a more or less civil and urban decay. But it's not finished here. This widespread approach nurtures and reinforces a more serious contempt and annoyance to the Authority (in all its manifestations: from parents to teachers, law enforcement, politicians, etc..) And for the institutions. From there begins the general revulsion against almost all the rules, mandatory or simply appropriate, in short, to anything that requires a minimum of sacrifice. This spirit is also very closely related our history, from medieval times forward, made up of divisions and particularities, commune and sir, the Guelphs and Ghibellines, etc.. etc.. etc..! This explains, inter alia, the formation of categories and of their power and influence: untouchable transpositions individualism that already widely mentioned.
defend this state of things is easy, just make your business and continue to bear the rules, from the mundane to the most important for the nation. There are some who goes further and defends a particularly diligent and now famous so-called Caste and the freedom of the lucky few undeserving, pleased to contribute to such a sadistic social and cultural stagnation. This is called conservatism ... you see it.

My Dog Is Having Strokes

'IMPOSSIBLE!

"Nothing is impossible," is the title among those released in the media these days that best represents the event that we, like millions of others around the world , we have witnessed on the night of November 4. For the first time an African-American, only 47 years old, became president of the United States of America, and this is perhaps the first good news of this new millennium! The "Democratic Party" could not remember hardly a success so overwhelming, since '68 in his Grant Park, where Barack Obama did his first speech as president-elect, left the protest against the Democratic National Convention, and that was the beginning of all troubles Democratic donkey, then returned to the White House and Democrats rarely much sui generis, and the centrist South, as Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.
But beyond all, I think this was a complete victory in the America, a country that wants to turn the page and realized that out of the crisis need not turn in on themselves and show their muscles, but we must broaden their horizons, to keep open channels of dialogue and be the flag of the rights of all regardless of skin color and social class.

("... the real strength of our nation is not in the strength of our arms or in the abundance of our resources, but in the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, hope and inflexible. "B. Obama)

And the United States have understood, are far from the pathetic political theater of our local ..
They are no longer a country of red states and blue states (the concept on which the former Republican president Richard Nixon founded the Republican hegemony ..), but they are one people regardless of any distinction, so much so that McCain called Obama " my president. "
then Obama in his speech said that the chairman of all who hear the voice of those who do not has voted and who will not agree with the decisions to take. And this makes me very angry, why we here in Italy we were so far away from that statement ..
E 'also this is the strength of a people, which is recognized in the strongest ties of political! And those who govern a country and a people must understand that you do so at the service of a community and not to secure their interests.
However, in America the change has come, the sweet revolution has begun, and maybe one day we can talk of revolution in our country.

("This is our time, time to put people to work, to open doors opportunities for our children, to bring back prosperity and promote the cause of peace, to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth that, among many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope. And where we are met with cynicism and doubt and those who tell us that we can not, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes we can. Thank you, God bless you, and bless the United States of America. "B. Obama)
